OUR VALUES

Sustainable Development Goals

As company operating throughout the world, we feel a strong responsibility to make the world a better place to live. We therefore seriously work on implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals throughout our organization.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

We want to contribute with meaningful educations within logistics, strategy, management, and sales. This applies to both content and format. We work to increase the relevance of both areas both with ourselves and with our customers. At Central Asian Bridge, we have implemented the Value-Focused Business Philosophy, which is precisely based on achieving positive externality based on real strengths and competencies. Created based on high quality education.

We want to ensure that our own jobs are decent and proper in terms of both content and format. Both areas must be meaningful and value-creating for both the employee, Central Asian Bridge, our suppliers, and our customers. At the same time, we want to ensure that the management part is done properly and decently. Through strong differentiation, innovation and the ability to create customer value, we will ensure economic growth. Growth that also needs to happen decently.

We want to contribute as much as possible with responsible consumption. This is done through several initiatives, including: We do not build premises / training facilities ourselves, but enter into agreements with partners who have already established these solutions. We want to minimize transport with both optimized geographical solutions and the use of digitized solutions. We have eliminated all internal use of paper and the like, and instead use digital formats.

We are constantly rethinking and trying to come up with innovative initiatives that can help reduce CO2 emissions for deliveries from Europe to Central Asia. Local economies, infrastructure and geography are major obstacles when it comes to changing the ways things are done today, but in close cooperation with our suppliers and customers we are working on removing these obstacles so we can play our part in making the future greener for everyone.

We want to enter an ever-increasing degree of long-term partnerships that can ensure optimized knowledge sharing, an increasing focus on relationship building and trust. At Central Asian Bridge, partnership with customers and suppliers are fundamental to achieving positive externality, which is crucial to creating fact-based decision making, transparency and development of innovative logistics solutions that can help optimize the supply chains and reduce the CO2 emissions.

Our transit time from Europe by containers is like going by truck/trailer. In peak season when the ro-ro capacity is used to the maximum our transit times are several days and even weeks faster than by trailers.

Imbalance in trade between Europe and Central Asia as well as the general positioning of and availability of empty truck/trailers in Europe that can load and drive directly to Central Asia, combined with the total number of loads means that it is cheaper – if the cargo nature allows it – to reload the cargo at our hub than it is to load and deliver cargo directly with the same trailer/container.

During peak season or winter limited roro- ferry capacity for trucks and trailers across the Caspian Sea can result in having to waitg for ferry departure for 1-2 weeks.

Utilizing the rail set up from Europe to Türkiye will contribute positively to reduction of the CO2 emissions compared with going by trucks.

FAQ

What services do you offer?

We offer delivery of full loads, part loads, groupage and project cargo with delivery to Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
We load from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland and Belgium. We can also load transit cargo that arrives from overseas destinations to ports or warehouses across Europe.

How do you go there?

It depends if we go with containers or trailers.
With containers we go with train from Duisburg to Istanbul, and from Istanbul to Baku with truck, from Baku the container will go with container vessel to either Aktau in Kazakhstan or Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan and from there it is delivered to the destination.
Trailers go from Duisburg via Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and then with ro-ro vessel to either Aktau or Turkmenbashi, and from there delivery is made to the final destination.

What equipment do you use?

Our focus is on delivery with 45” high cube containers however we also do delivery with both swap bodies and normal standard tent trailers.

Is it better to use containers?

Imbalance in trade between Europe and Central Asia as well as the general positioning of and availability of empty truck/trailers in Europe that can load and drive directly to Central Asia, combined with the total number of loads means that it is cheaper – if the cargo nature allows it – to reload full-loads via our hub than it is to load and deliver cargo directly with the same trailer/container.

How often do you go?

We pick up full-loads, part loads and groupage every day however we only have part loads and groupage departure once a week. We depart with part loads and groupage from our warehouse in Duisburg on Tuesdays.

What about export customs who will do that?

It is the shipper/freight payer’s responsibility make the necessary export declaration EX1 or transit documents T1 with his local customs office. The documents should be sent to us by email and if the country of loading demands hard copies of the documents they need to be handed to the driver when collecting the cargo.

When and how should I make booking?

Bookings should be made min. 2 days before loading through our website or by email. All necessary documents should be sent to us.

Can I get my own login/account to make data interchange easier?

Yes, it is possible. A login is needed to get access to the account/booking section.
Please contact us to receive log in for your account.

Do the driver need to get original documents?

Yes, all original documents + 3 copies of each should be handed over to the driver. It includes invoices, packing list and all other documents that your customer has required from you.

Do you deliver the whole way to our customer?

For full loads we pick up on FOT terms in Europe and deliver DAP at destination. It means that we will deliver to the address of the consignee mentioned in the export documents.
For part loads and groupage, it is a bit different due to local customs rules. Here we will load FOT but deliver DAT which mean that we will deliver it to the bonded warehouse where the consignee is going to make the customs clearance. From there it is normally the consignee himself who should pay for local delivery after customs clearance.

What is the free time for loading/offloading?

You have 4 hours hours free at loadingplace load and do customs clearance in Europe. After that you will be charged 75 € per hour.
In destination country you have for full loads 48 hours and for part loads/ groupage 24 hours to do customs clearance and offloading

Is it always same terms of delivery?

For full loads delivery is DAP at destination which means that we will delivery cargo to the consignees warehouse after customs clearance.

For part loads and groupage cargo we deliver on DAT (Delivered At Terminal) which means that we delivery to a SVH/bonded warehouse used by the consignee for doing customs clearance.

Can we reduce our CO2 emission?

Utilizing the rail set up from Europe to Türkiye will contribute positively to reduction of the CO2 emissions compared with going by trucks. For a container the CO2 emission can be reduced by up to 75% by using rail instead of trucks.

Do you have fixed rates?

Yes, we don’t change our rates every week, so our rates are normally valid for a longer time period

What is the transit time?

Our transit time from Europe by containers is almost similar than by truck/trailer. In peak season when the ro-ro capacity is used to the maximum our transit times are several days faster than by trailers.

Are there any issues with capacity on the Caspian Sea?

Yes, limited ro-ro ferry capacity for trucks/trailers across the Caspian Sea can result in the load waiting for ferry departure for 1-3 weeks.

Do you only go via Turkey?

Yes, we are utilizing the “Middle Corridor” for all our transports to and from Central Asia and Turkey is an essential part of that. We do not do any transit via Russia or Iran.
